This series of drawings is a documentation of my mother's Kambodi Oud incense pieces through minimalist line drawings, transforming the everyday objects into an archive of cultural memory. I catalog each piece with precise numbering and titles, housing them in my mother's vintage Oud box, transforming these objects beyond their utilitarian purpose, revealing how they function as a wordless language of familial love. Through systematic documentation and poetic presentation, I explore how personal artifacts bridge generations, preserve cultural heritage, and serve as intimate expressions of identity.
The work creates dialogue between past and present, transforming family connections into contemporary artistic identity expression.
