My Mom’s Pots celebrates the enduring bond between mother and daughter, manifested through the language of cookware. Composed of aluminum sheets laser-etched with handwritten family recipes, the work pays homage to a mother's decades-old aluminum cookware that has faithfully served generations of meals. Bridging tradition and memory, this work embraces the deep emotional resonance of my mother's well-worn pots, acknowledging that the warmth of maternal love transcends practical concerns. Through this metallic archive of family recipes, cooking vessels become vessels of cultural preservation where perfect measurements matter less than the warmth of generational knowledge passed down through well-worn pots.
